just in: september

Sharing some new items I bought the past month. I should state here though that this should be it for awhile - I should put a stop to all these shopping and little treats to self as the holidays are drawing near and I must save! 



H&M neon tee. I love the relaxed fit and the eye-catching color! Perfect for dressing up a pair of bell-bottoms or dressing down a pencil skirt.


Sling bag from Zara. The moment I saw this, it was love at first sight. It's soft leather and all black style reminds me of my dream bag - the Alexander Wang Rocco bag. But with a hefty price tag that comes that, this similar one is a great alternative.  

 

Graphic tee from Pull & Bear. Never underestimate the power of a graphic tee. This simple tee looks great with casual outfits - paired with denim shorts, for example or acid wash skinny jeans. But my favorite is dressing it up - I've got a pair of pencil skirt in mind for this. 


Soft denim shorts from Bossini. I must admit, I'd never thought I'd be ever shopping at Bossini. I'm not a big fan of this brand, but my Mom is. I spotted this while she was shopping and I just fell for it. It reminds me of a very similar pair I saw at Zara Spring/Summer 2011. Instead of a casual look, I'm looking forward to pairing this with high heels and button downs.

i'm back!

Well hello there, Internet. Sorry to have neglected this blog in the past week - work, plus this lingering cold has rendered me MIA and I haven't been able to take decent outfit photos since all I could manage was lie in bed in my pajamas while working. 

But, this weekend, I have fully recovered and I am back!

 



I was looking at recaps of NYFW and was inspired by Emanuelle Alt sporting a skinny cargo. 
 


I'm loving the whole military/camo looks lately. I am now in search of an oversized olive green tee. 

 

Topped it all off with touches of brown and gold.

I was wearing: Mossimo (Target) skinny cargo pants, Cotton On tank top, shoes from Charles & Keith, leather bracelets from H&M and Pull & Bear.

The combo of the denim shirt + ankle boots recalls a cowboy costume. Ha! I wanted to pair my new favorite ankle boots with shorts this time. 



I'm loving this color combination and the outfit in general - just feels so relaxed.

casual animal

Judging by the amount of time this good old chambray shorts has appeared on this blog, you can probably tell that this is one of my favorite pairs. I just love how perfect it is for casual days. You can pair chambray with pretty much anything. Like this leopard print black and white, for example. It tones down the boldness of  the animal print, making it great for a casual look.



For an even more eclectic finish, paired with my bright yellow wedges. 

BTW, since I am wearing pretty much head-to-toe Cotton On in this look,  I heard Manila has opened its first Cotton On store. While not the best quality product out there, Cotton On is great for basics - I swear by their slouchy, oversized button-down's and if you want to buy trendy items for a reasonable price.

Sorry for the lack of outfit posts lately. I've been so busy the past few days that I didn't have much time to capture my past outfits to share with you. 


Wore my new floral shirt for the first time yesterday. For a first look, I kept it pretty basic paired with a dark-wash skinny jeans. To keep the girly-ness at a minimum, I turned to "tougher" footwear.

I'm really loving this shirt. It even looks a bit like a Japanese kimono. That color and print is great too for pairing with pretty much any color - neon yellow, blues, reds and pinks.


These boots are a lucky find from Bershka. It's got the right amount of heel which makes it perfect even for days where you'll do a lot of walking. 

I was wearing: Stradivarius button-down shirt, jeggings from Mossimo at Target (US), Bershka ankle boots.

holiday

If the gods permit it, I will be catching the last few days of warm summer months soon. I'm super excited! I haven't been on a holiday break in ages and I can't wait to kick back and enjoy the sun and sand.

For outfits, I'm planning to keep things simple - light, flowy dresses, denim shorts, striped tee, light button-downs and sandals!
