letting loose

Wore this on a Friday casual day at work. As you can see, I am already dressed for the weekend. :P

I love well-tailored looks but sometimes keeping things loose and relaxed like this works well too.

This is my favorite trick in ~dressing up a pair of shorts - with a dressier top and a some heels.

Another casual Friday look. Button-down +shorts + court shoes is definitely my favorite casual combo.


Pairing with a button-down and a pair of dressy shoes makes this pair of denim shorts from getting too shabby.

Judging by the amount of time this good old chambray shorts has appeared on this blog, you can probably tell that this is one of my favorite pairs. I just love how perfect it is for casual days. You can pair chambray with pretty much anything. Like this leopard print black and white, for example. It tones down the boldness of  the animal print, making it great for a casual look.



For an even more eclectic finish, paired with my bright yellow wedges. 

BTW, since I am wearing pretty much head-to-toe Cotton On in this look,  I heard Manila has opened its first Cotton On store. While not the best quality product out there, Cotton On is great for basics - I swear by their slouchy, oversized button-down's and if you want to buy trendy items for a reasonable price.

the maxi

This maxi skirt is a leftover from years past, during my days dabbling in bohemian looks. Haven't worn this in awhile, on Monday just woke up and had this urge to experiment with this maxi skirt.


Instead of going all-out bohemian, I decided to balance out the flouncy-ness and girliness of the skirt with my oversized men's tee. 


Love how it turned out. And to complete the whole thrown together look, I put on my yellow TOMS.


This outfit is giving me vacation vibe and reminds me that I haven't had a holiday in a long time!




Piled on colorful leather bracelets and beads and my cocktail ring for that bohemian feel.

On Friday, I decided to wear this nude cropped top with my favorite pair of boyfriend jeans.


I bought this cropped top over a year ago but just never got around to wearing it until now. 


I wasn't sure if a loose and boxy cropped top will work well paired with baggy denim, but I'm loving this look. It's very comfortable too. Perfect for warmer days. I was also on my second attempt of breaking in my new pair of pointy heels. One more day of break-in, and I could run after my bus in these.
