sneak peek: gray short-sleeve blazer
I found this lovely gray blazer stashed in one of Ma's boxes of old clothes. I remember she had this tailored for my grade school graduation (that she never got to wear because I had the chickenpox and missed my grad anyway!) paired with pleated pants (which I took as well!).
I have a cute idea for this. In truth, this is as much a sneak peek for you as it is for me, since I haven't gone to pick them up from my favorite tailor-auntie yet. I hope it turns out well. Can't wait to get this on Thursday!

statement necklace
Dropped by Forever 21 yesterday cause I'm the market for a cool statement necklace. I want to style them with a simple white top, men's oversized plain tee or a black button-down. Unfortunately, didn't find anything interesting in-store.
This afternoon, I let my fingers do the walking and found these cute pieces:
From Zara
From H&M

in the mix
My favorite tees are men's size (I hate the ladies' that are contoured at the waist) with some graphic or interesting print. Instead of the usual jeans and t-shirt, I opt to "dress up" my tees by mixing them with more formal pieces.
Like pairing with my favorite pencil skirt:
The graphic tee featured electric guitars which added a rock and roll vibe to this outfit.
Juxtaposed a grunge Nirvana t-shirt with this girly pair of salmon pleated pants.
Made more feminine when paired with a skirt instead of jeans.
B2B have the most interesting designs. This one is 80s Japan.
I was wearing:
First look - People are People (Manila) top, pencil skirt from Landmark (Manila), Zara lace-up boots
Second look - H&M Nirvana tee, pleated pants from Zara, Charles & Keith pumps
Third look - B2B tee, indigo skirt from Lver, sandals from Athens

it's friday and i'm so casual
Today's outfit details:
I'm really loving the partial tuck. The best way to execute this is to keep it messy and haphazard. Also, I usually pair my chambray shorts with a white or colored top but I think black also works quite well with it.
I've got a backlog of pictures - some even from before my Manila trip last month. This should keep me busy over the weekend.
Have a good weekend, friends!
I was wearing: black sleeveless button-down from Divisoria (Manila), Cotton On chambray shorts, Parfois bag, studded leather cuff from F21.

just in: divisoria haul
Despite my busy schedule during my recent trip to Manila, I made it a point to squeeze in a day shopping in Divisoria. Regardless of the heat and traffic jam, 168 mall in Divisoria is so worth the stop. Lots of cute tops in different colors (saw Spring's favorite mint everywhere in 168 already) and at very reasonable prices.
Can't wait to start mixing these into my everyday looks.

the day she said "i do"
On March 28, my dearest Cuz walked down the aisle to meet her Prince. The wedding's motif are M&M colors of blue, red, green, yellow and orange. Guests and members of the entourage were requested to dress up in these 5 colors.
As Cuz's bridesmaid, she requested me to color-block blue and red. I chose to wear this simple ensemble. Honestly, I meant for the blouse to be more oversized and slouchy but I think it turned out fine (and oh-so-current with that peplum effect).
My Ma and cousin Karen were matching in orange and gold accents.
Also got the chance to meet my dear reader Tons color-blocking with this lovely shade of blue and orange, with red accents. Nice to meet you Tons!
And now here are some pictures of the lovely bride and groom:
Many were already in tears (including myself!) even before the doors opened up to reveal Cuz in her beautiful gown. The lovely windy weather created a beautiful, dramatic effect.
Sharing their vows
The radiant bride as they walked out of the church.
At the wedding reception.
We "freed up" M&M-colored balloons with out scribbled messages and wishes for the couple.
With their cute boys (who were dressed in their tux) Marriott and Morgan.
Cheers, Cuz and Mac. May you have a lifetime of happiness together.

just in: yet another pair of heels
I know, I know, I have too many of these pairs of black pointy shoes already but I just couldn't resist this pair, that I picked up from my recent trip to Manila.
This pair also comes in a more manageable heel so I hope to wear this more often. In the meantime, I have to break them in first.

my outfit: 1984 edition
While in Manila, Ma and I had gone through a spring-cleaning of sorts digging through our boxes. (I also found Ma's awesome gray suit and have amazing plans for it. Can't wait to show this to you in an outfit post.)
I found this precious pic!
I remember exactly when this photo was taken. It was when I got my brand-spankin' new pair of Mighty Kid kicks! :) Seems I already like taking outfit photos even then.
I was wearing: Shirt and shorts from SM (Manila), sneakers from Mighty Kid, watch gifted by aunt.

just in: printed blouse
Hi dear readers. I'm sorry to have been away for so long. I hadn't meant to stay away for so long, but the past 3 weeks have been one roller coaster ride, and it looks like there are exciting times ahead!
Anyway, let's talk about the reason why we're all here - clothes! Despite my super busy schedule in Manila, I managed to squeeze in a trip to Divisoria, my favorite stop for great buy's. Soon, I'll show you all the stuff that I got from that shopping trip.
But for now, let's start with this cool new printed top that I got for P350/SGD12!
Paired with my ever-reliable pencil skirt and a slim gold belt for accent.
Fell in love with this vintage-y print. It reminds me of a Versace print.
Accessorized with my leather bracelets with gold accents.
I missed you, friends. I hope I won't have to be away that long again.
Cheers!
I was wearing: Printed blouse from Divisoria (Manila), pencil skirt from Landmark (Manila), Charles & Keith shoes, leather bracelets from Massimo Dutti and H&M, ring from H&M.
